Coke Pays $100K to AAFP to Develop Coke Friendly Marketing Campaign!

The American Academy of Family Physicians will receive a six-figure grant from Coke to develop educational material to teach consumers about the role beverages and sweeteners can play in a healthy, active lifestyle, said AAFP President-elect Lori Heim. The exact amount of the grant was not disclosed.

Here is an all too perfect example of what we have been railing against. A "family physicians group" developing Coke friendly marketing material for Coke is clearly a conflict of interest and a breech of the group's integrity of the highest order.
