Metabolic Syndrome X

Never heard of it? 47 Million Americans have it and most have never heard of it and do not know they have it and will most likely die of its complications, 10 years earlier and many many thousands of dollars poorer!

Metabolic Syndrome X is not an actual disease itself, but is the presence of a cluster of abnormal systemic readings that are the precursor to diabetes, heart trouble, stroke, cancer etc. In other words, the 4-5 chronic diseases of aging that we all die from.

Here are the signs:

Your navel-level waist measurement is more than 40in for men or 35in for women
Your triglycerides are over 100
Your blood preasure is over 140/90
Your blood sugar is over 100
Your Good cholesterol is low

You arrived at this condition because of long years of eating the Standard American DIEt that makes your blood acidic and you probably do not get much exercise.

MSX is also called Hyperinsulinism because it is characterized by too much insulin in the blood stream caused by the increasing insensitivity to insulin by the cells of the body, which in turn is usually caused by abdominal fat and eating too much carbohydrates, which produce over acidity.

High blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes are the two most likely diseases to develop first from Metabolic Syndrome X.

Type 2 diabetes, which you may as well call the Disintegration of your Body, attacks your nervous system and your circulatory system. Think of what that means as those systems slowly degenerate over time.

Loss of limbs, eyesite, pain in the extremities, heart trouble, strokes are just a few of its benefits.

Yet, MSX is reversible as are almost all of its consequences, not with Drugs to control higb blood pressure or to lower cholesterol or blood sugar, but simply by restoring the blood alkaline balance of the body and eliminating free radicals!

The quickest ways to do this, is to lose weight by switching to what I call the Meditteranean Diet, (look it up) taking up exercise and by drinking ionized alkaline water. You should also add nutritional supplements to these efforts, especially anti-oxidants and others that have been shown to attack specific disease targets, such as cinnamon for reducing blood sugar, B-Complexes for nerve health, etc.

Elevated Triglycerides Cause Heart Attacks and May Damage Nerves!

New research, due to be released shortly, points to elevated blood triglycerides leading to nerve damage. Although the exact mechanism by which the damage is effected is not known, there was found a link between heightened neuropathy and elevated blood triglycerides.

Elevated triglycerides are yet another indication the patient suffers from Metabolic Syndrome X, that catch all descriptor meaning that you are on the doorstep of many of the chronic diseases of aging.

The question to be discussed in this post is what are the most effective ways to reduce blood triglycerides a low fat diet or a low carbohydrate diet supplemented with exercise and natural blood sugar regulators?

The causes of elevated blood triglycerides are many.

The use of "pure vegetable oils" in frying represents an enormous and almost unknown source of triglycerides. Millions of pounds of all types of food fried in vegetable oils, which contain Omega 6 oils, are consumed daily by unsuspecting consumers, many of whom believe they are "eating healthy" because they are using vegetable oil, instead of lard or animal fat.

Another source of triglycerides is hyperinsulinism, where there is an excess of insulin circulating in the body along with the excess glucose which triggers the excess insulin. Since this glucose cannot be utilized for energy because of the resistance to insulin, much of it is stored in the liver as fat, including triglycerides.

Also, the body reacts to insulin resistance by producing more insulin. High blood insulin levels lead to high levels of free fatty acids in the blood.

In addition, the abdominal fat around the middle, so characteristic of those with diabetes, a new term was coined to describe it, diabesity; also produces its own production of fatty acids.

These elevated levels of fatty acids from various sources can overwhelm the liver's ability to handle them and they are converted to triglycerides, no doubt damaging nerves as the research suggests.

My point is that a low carbohydrate, Meditteranean style diet; though rich in olive oil, a monosaturated fat, supplemented by cinnamon, Banaba leaves and other natural reducers of blood sugar, combined with a sensible exercise regimen would probably produce better results in lowering triglycerides than a low fat diet, even if augmented by exercise.

The Standard American DIEt, (SAD) profits for the Bankers, Death to YOU!

Bear with me on this, I know it starts a little weird. I just read a review of the book, The Defense of Food by Michael Pollan, a Professor of Science and Investigative Journalism at UC Berkely. Here are my comments and observations.

The International Bankers who control this country and exploit all of us through their ownership and control of the Federal Reserve Bank and therefore of all of our money; finance the production and promotion of the American DIE-t and profit handsomely from the massive health care disaster it produces.

Diabetes causes (such as corporate control of food, transportation and culture, rampant inequality, weakened communities, and excessive materialism) are among the leading causes sickening the world.

The DIE-t, like all other aspects of the American (bankers’s) Dream, is designed to suck as much money from American citizens as possible.

You can get a very good picture of how the Banker-financed food industry uses science to get us actually addicted to their unhealthy, processed food in a new book, "The End of Overeating" by David Kessler, former Surgeon General of the US.

First the bankers make huge profits by funding the corporations which produce the “edible food-like substances,” (love that characterization!) that line our supermarket shelves.

They are primarily combinations of Fat,Sugar and Salt, sometimes with white flour added, according to what it is. Think Twinkie!

Over 94% of the food advertising budget is spent on advertising those highly processed foods. They are much more profitable than the healthy foods you will generally find in the produce department. When is the last time you saw a cabbage commercial?

Inexorably, a lifetime of consumption of these dangerous foods lead to chronic acidosis of the blood. Your blood should be slightly alkaline, but years of consuming an acid producing diet make it acidic.

This condition interferes with the electrical communications between the cells of the body which then produces errors and leads to an acidic environment and faulty communications between the cells.

This is the root problem of All disease! Among 40+ year olds, a called Metabolic SyndromeX is rampant. It is the precursor of All of the so-called diseases of aging.

At this point, the Bankers switch hats and make another Huge Fortune by treating the diseases they produce!

Remember, all of America's institutions intersect at the bank!

Health care is definitely one of them. A doctor friend of mine who has been practicing for 30 years, summed it up, somewhat cynically, but dead on; "Medical School in this country is simply learning what drug goes with what diagnosis, it is like doctors are actually representatives of the drug companies!" Wow! And who funds and controls the drug companies? The bankers.

Metabolic Syndrome is a medical term to describe the precursor of most of the chronic diseases we associate with aging and failing health:

• High blood pressure
• Heart Disease
• Type 2 Diabetes
• Cancers

Metabolic Syndrome has been directly tied to the American DIE-t and the resulting illnesses cost a fortune to treat as Michael so aptly points out.

If we include the impact of smoking and alcohol, also funded by the Bankers, treatment for these diseases account for approximately $1.5 Trillion or 3/4 of every health care dollar, according to Michael.

This insidious cycle of diet and disease is music to the Banker's ears.

This discussion just reinforces my assertion that the International Bankers control and profit from All aspects of our economy, even the food we eat, which coincidently, leads to expensive long term, highly profitable, chronic diseases that cost Billions to treat.
